The Central Oregon Builder’s Association (COBA) Tour of Homes, a two week showcase of Central Oregon’s finest homes, concluded in July, but not before awarding Greg Welch Construction with the Green Building Award for The Bungalows at Northwest Crossing.
The Bungalows at Northwest Crossing project is a 24-unit condominium project in the desirable Northwest Crossing neighborhood of Bend. Each of the two-to-three bedroom condominiums feature contemporary craftsman architecture designed by Muddy River Designs and built by Greg Welch Construction. Unit One, a 2BR, 2.5BA corner unit on Shields Drive, was featured at this year’s tour. Among its many stylish, yet eco-friendly features, this unit included:
- Open great room with gas fireplace
- Stainless Jenn-Air Appliances
- Main-level Master Suite
- Hardwood Floor and Tile Counters
- Ductless Heating / Cooling
- Tankless Water Heater
- Two-Car Garage
- Fully Landscaped and Irrigated
This Bungalows is Earth Advantage Certified, and as with all Greg Welch homes, meets or exceeds Sustainable Home Building Standards. The Bungalows, which are smaller in size and lot than many of the properties in Northwest Crossing, are a low-maintenance, low environmental impact option for residents to enjoy the luxury of living in desirable Northwest Crossing.
Northwest Crossing neighborhood is a sustainable community with high walk-ability scores, which makes any home in the area quite sustainable and Earth-friendly. Pair that with Greg Welch’s standards for sustainable, local and eco-friendly materials, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and building practices, and you have a 1,285 square foot sustainable luxury condo.
